History

As an animal health company, SANPHAR^® focuses on the development, production, import and export of veterinary products as well as services. In Brazil, we also offer animal nutrition products to our customers. SANPHAR has over 150 employees, including animal health experts, in various countries all over the world.

Founded in 1992, SANPHAR Animal Health was acquired by the ERBER Group in July 2007. The ERBER Group is a globally known multinational company headquartered in Austria, with several patents and extensive investments in biotechnology and animal nutrition.

2019: SANPHAR^® acquired the company IPEVE, a pioneer in diagnostics and autogenous vaccines. IPEVE was founded in 1988. This acquisition marked the entry of SANPHAR^® into the market of vaccines.

2020: Due to the sale of ERBER Group to Royal DSM, a Dutch multinational, and the carve out of SANPHAR the company became part of SAN Group. SAN Group is a multinational company headquartered in Singapore and owned by Erich Erber, an Austrian native business man. This transition marks the start of the international expansion strategy of SANPHAR.

The portfolio of products and services is directed mainly at the swine and poultry industries with special solutions in other segments such as cattle and aquaculture.
